Procedural and real-time work is where a lot of creative practice is heading — systems that generate the work rather than files someone made by hand. But the software that teaches those habits runs on workstations, costs real money per seat, and needs an IT department to keep alive.
nooodles runs in a browser on whatever hardware a school already has. A student opens a link and is in the same editor as a working studio, on a Chromebook in a shared lab or on a laptop at home.

Students and teachers get the editor and hosted generation at no cost for study and teaching. No trial clock, no feature gating that makes the interesting parts a paid upgrade.
Classroom setup: one author, many operators
A teacher authors a scene and exposes the controls the lesson is about. Students operate it, then open the graph and extend it. The author/operator hand-off is a real product feature, and it also happens to be a good teaching structure — start inside working constraints, then take the lid off.
Shareable work
Every project exports as a real web page, so a student's piece is a link they can put in a portfolio, hand to an external marker, or send to someone hiring — not a file that needs the software to open.
Nothing to install on lab machines
No installers, no licence server, no per-machine activation, no version drift between the lab and the student's laptop. It's a URL and a sign-in.

What we get asked.
Who qualifies?
Students enrolled on a course, teachers and course leaders at a recognised institution, and non-profit teaching programmes — workshops, clubs, bootcamps. We verify with an institutional email address. If your situation doesn't fit neatly, write to us and explain it; we'd rather read the actual case than turn people away on a technicality.
Can students use it for paid freelance work?
No. Education access covers study and teaching, not commercial work. If a student is being paid for a job, that needs an Individual plan — same as anyone else. We'd rather say that plainly than bury it in terms nobody reads.
Does it work on school machines and Chromebooks?
It runs in the browser, so there's nothing to install. The requirement is a modern Chromium browser or Safari with WebGL2 — which most Chromebooks and lab machines from the last few years have. Heavier real-time scenes want a better GPU, but the teaching material doesn't.
Can we teach with it offline?
Not today. The editor and hosted generation both need a connection. Exported scenes are ordinary web pages, so a finished student project can be served from a local machine on a classroom network — but authoring needs to be online. If a school has a genuinely offline lab, tell us, because that's the kind of constraint worth designing for.
Do you support curriculum development?
Yes, within the limits of a small team. We'll talk through a module with you, help build the starting scenes a lesson needs, and answer questions while you're teaching it. We don't have a ready-made curriculum to hand over — if you're building one, we'd like to help and to learn from it.
